To promote Innovation and Technology (I&T) culture in the community, InnoCarnival 2022, organised by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, is to take place from 22 to 30 October 2022 at the Hong Kong Science Park.This year, the InnoCarnival is also one of the major celebration events for the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
Themed ”Innovation & Technology empower our dreams”, the nine-day carnival welcomes the whole community to join in the fun and enjoy a wide range of interactive and educational activities, including the showcase of local inventions and research achievements, InnoTech online workshops, online seminars and interactive games.
This year, the InnoCarnival adopts a two-pronged hybrid approach. On one hand, members of the community can visit 37 on-site exhibition booths at the Hong Kong Science Park and participate in a series of online workshops and seminars on the other hand to reduce gatherings. Highlights of InnoCarnival 2022
Online Workshops
Around 145 online workshops covering a wide range of topics will be offered for kids, teenagers and families via online platform, the workshops can enhance students’ knowledge of science, technology and creativity.
Exhibitions and Games
37 programme partners, including universities, R&D centres, government departments and organisations, will showcase their innovations and research achievements through exhibitions at the Science Park, featuring robotics, green and technological innovations and much more, letting the public experience technology achievement and cutting-edge innovations which are ”made in Hong Kong”. With applications of new technologies, interactive games will be set at some booths to challenge how swift and responsive the visitors could be.
The ”City I&T Grand Challenge: The Showcase” will also take place during IC 2022.
In addition, an Aerospace Showcase will be set up to let the public understand more about Hong Kong’s contribution to country’s aerospace development.
Online Seminars
About 40 webinars will be given by distinguished scholars and industry professionals to enlighten the public on the latest developments in innovation and technology.
